This is my first visit to Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival. I have heard good review on this event prior. So I commit to attend.
It was a great event. The weather on Thursday was a bit wet, but the summer rainstorm is short. Then, we are greet with 3 awesome day. Can’t beat the awesome sunny day and cool night.
At this event, I got to meet up with friends and also get to know many more friends. Overland with awesome friends for 3 days. The event venue is awesome. Organizer did a great job equipped the venue. The venue surrounding is beautiful. Has many state Forest to explore and many awesome attraction. We formed a big group and head out explore. We explored a cavern which is very unique.
I also get to see a lot of awesome rigs at the festival. Some rigs can inspire me on my next upgrade/mod. Also, many manufacturer reps are onsite to answer questions.
3 days zip through easy. Until the next overland event. Thanks the Henwood’s Brother organized this awesome event. Looking forward for the next MAOF.
Here is some of the picture of the venue taken from my drone.
One of the evening, I was having problem sleeping. I wake up around 3am. Unable to sleep, I got out the tent for some fresh air. First glimpse, the sky was clear. Quietly, I grabbed my camera gear (camera + tripod) and start walking around the nearby ground. I spend about an hour for taking photos. Here is some photos from the astrophotography session.
We also explored as a group and visit a cave, Penn's Cave. A very unique cave exploration using a motorboat, not a walking tour.
