This first trip for 2016, we took our newly acquired 2002 Rockwood Premier (winter 2015) and our new TV, 2010 Toyota Sequoia.
Here is a picture of our TV and camper.
The drive to the destination is about 3 hrs. My first experience with this SUV and camper. I have a very positive experience. The SUV is tons of power to tow the camper over Franconia Notch. The SUV ride very comfortable and got tons of room. It's the first trip where our kids did not have any argument. They all enjoyed the downtime watching movie and snacking.
We arrived our camp site around 4:30 pm. 30 mins to get the camper ready and we head to the nearby beach. Echo lake is right next to the campground. The lake offering sandy beach with lifeguard, kayak, canoe, hiking & fishing. Our kids is ready to jump into the cold lake water.
After getting to our site, we setup our camper. We are at site 5.
The kid jump into the lake. The weather is in 90's.
After some fun at the lake, it's time to slow down and chill.
Dinner cook and we whine down the day. Next morning, after breakfast, we head out for a short hike.
We hike up to Artist Bluff and Bald Mountain. It was a nice 1.5 miles hike. From Artist Bluff, there was a nice view of Franconia Notch and Echo Lake. From Bald Mountain, the view of Cannon Mountain Ski Resort.
