2018 Pre-July 4th Acadia National Park Camping Trip

We head out for another camping trip prior to July 4th holiday.  Due to July 4th land on Wed, we take 2 days off, plus the weekend and head out for another camping trip.  We need to be familiar with out new camping setup.  Hence more test/tryouts needed.

We book the camping trip after memorial day weekend camping.  I'm lucky enough to score a campground spot for 3 nights at Acadia National Park.

We left on July 1st Sunday and left on July 3rd wed.  Our route

Day 1 July 1st

Left our home around 12pm and head up north.  The ride from take about 5 hours.  We stop at Elsworth ME for some food supplies.  We pull in the Campground around 6pm and start setup camp.  This is our second time camping with this new setup and we are still struggling to get the tent setup.  This is part of the learning experience.  I'm able to document the highs and lows and try to make some routine steps.

Once we setup, we settle down and cook some dinner.  Dinner is yummy.  I went out the campground and brought some firewood.  We setup campfire, roast some marshmallow and call it the night.  Around 9pm, we heard someone talking and it sounds like there is a ranger program at the amphitheater.  So we went to check it out.  Turn out, there is a night program setup by NPS ranger at most night on our campground.  We are luck out to be able to attend.  The topic of the program is about the history of Acadia National Park or Mount Desert Island.
