There are a few changes in our 2016 Summer Camping trip. The original plan is to use our old Coleman Destiny camper towed by our RX400h Lexus. Since our new acquisition of Toyota Sequoia and Rockwood Premier camper, we are switching both camper and tow vehicle for this trip. Due to the switch, there is extra cost for the ferry. Fuel cost TBD
The ferry fee increase about $150 due to camper size and overall length. But the new Toyota Sequoia will be more comfortable for the kids to enjoy the trip. The new Rockwood camper also have more space and have a slide out. The canvas condition on this camper is better than the Coleman Destiny. Over the winter, the Coleman Destiny canvas suffered some attack by the chipmunk.
My itinerary for 2016 Camping trip is all set. I got all campground reserved and the hardest route will be the journey back home. It will be a long marathon driving from Nova Scotia to MA.
Here is the updated itinerary.
Here is the updated ferry fee.
The toyota sequoia also have less MPG. Overall gas consumption will be increasing. Here is a rough estimate on fuel cost using Lexus RX400h vs Toyota Sequoia. I'm anticipating extra $300 fuel cost for Toyota Sequoia.
Camping/Adventure/Explore/Travel with the Chin's. We are a family of 5 that love outdoor. We travelled mostly US and Canada with our pop-up camper or tent trailer, but with goal of travelling the world with vehicles.
